(Note: I am going to be exploring plot lines and such on Thursdays for the next month or so. I’ll take a plot line idea that I had that week, and simply draw the idea here on the blog.)
Alright. So I was taking a basic driver improvement course last night, when I had a sudden thought. One elderly lady in the front stood, and said her name and why she was there. For no reason whatsoever, I was thinking, I know that lady. Of course, I had never seen her before in my life. Then, my mind started to wonder. What if that whole thought process was reversed?
No, really, what if instead of thinking I knew her, I really did. Only she had died years ago. Possibly in a car wreck. What if someone I knew now, as in, they were my best friend, had actually died years ago? Them being a hallucination would be a great twist to that story.
Alright, I know this is a bit confusing. Let me write a quick paragraph or so to explain:
The commercial kept playing, but I couldn’t hear or see. My best friends face had just appeared on the screen with the words, “Teen died from texting and driving in 2009. Don’t text and drive.”
Grady. But he was at his house right now. He was totally fine. Why was he on this commercial from years ago? I managed to shoot him a text.
Me: Hey, r u okay?
Grady: Yeah. Y?
Me: Idk, I thought I saw u on a commercial
And then he never texted me back. And I never saw Grady again.
This general concept is slightly intriguing. I know that it has been done before, but I would like to explore the concept deeper at some point.
